Crews from York gained access into a residential property for paramedics to assist the occupant within. Crews managed to gain entry through a rear window using small tools.
18:36 – Thorpe Green Lane, Thorpe Underwood
Crews from Boroughbridge responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a public assembly premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to a system fault.
Crews from York and Acomb responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a the Shambles. This resulted in a false alarm caused by condensation from a clothes dryer.
Crews from Northallerton responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
Crews from Selby responded to reports of a car on fire close to a residential property. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera, and lighting to assist with extinguishing the fire. The property was unaffected and no persons were injured. The cause was accidental.
20:47 – Green Lane Industrial Estate, York
Crews from Acomb responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
Crews from Scarborough, Filey, Sherburn, and Robin Hoods Bay responded to a smell of smoke coming from a large residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm caused by a faulty fire suppression system in the kitchen on the building.
