Dramatic images show the aftermath of a blaze at a Bedworth industrial estate. They have been shared by Bedworth Fire Station following a call-out to the Bayton Road industrial estate.
Crews from the town's station and neighbouring Nuneaton responded to 999 calls to report the fire at one of the businesses on the estate early on Saturday morning (May 14). Fortunately no one was injured.
Yet the photographs show severe damage to inside part of the factory. Alongside the images, Bedworth Fire Station posted an explanation about the fire- and where it started.
"Crews from Bedworth and Nuneaton Green Watch were mobilised to a commercial fire on Bayton Road. This was some machinery that had over-heated and caught fire.
"Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire before using fans to ventilate the building. There are no casualties to report following this incident."
The call out come after crews tackled a severe blaze at Coventry Stadium on Friday night (May 13). Six appliances from Warwickshire Fire and West Midlands Fire Service attempted to tackle the fire at the former speedway track.
