For years, anime has had a wide range of heroes, each with their own unique style. While some hero outfits seem to be strictly for appearance, others add some form of assistance to the wearer.

Anything could count as a hero costume, whether it's an outfit the hero transforms into or it's their everyday attire. Some heroes have made some questionable design choices, while many others rock their hero outfits like they own the world. It's time to take a look at who rocked their hero outfit the most.

The titular Inuyasha from Inuyasha is the half-demon protagonist of the series. Inuyasha rocks a bright red robe that was made from a creature called the Fire Rat. The cloak itself is not only fireproof, but it's also stronger than any human-made armor, making it one of the strongest pieces of clothing in Inuyasha.

Inuyasha's necklace is made from the "Beads of Subjugation" and with the right word can drag the wearer face-first into the ground. While Inuyasha's outfit isn't exactly the most stylish of all the characters, it is one of the more useful outfits among them.

While Goku from Dragon Ball is recognizable, he isn't exactly the most stylish character in the franchise. However, his gi does provide some training benefits, with it being weighted and it seems to be much more durable than the average piece of clothing.

Goku's gi is more on the simple side with a simple orange outfit and blue-accented accessories, like his boots and belt. This is a situation where a simple design is better. If Goku suddenly appeared in an outfit more like what the Ginyu Force wears, or anything else, fans would be a bit more hesitant.

While not exactly the best uniform for hand-to-hand combat, the titular Sailor Moon's outfit is unique in Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon's combat outfit resembles that of an anime schoolgirl outfit with each Sailor Scout having something to their outfit that aids them in battle.

With Sailor Moon, it's her broach that rests in the center of her bow. Once activated, her broach not only allows her to transform into her uniform, but it also gives Sailor Moon the capability to fight off any enemies. However, should Sailor Moon or the other Scouts have to fight hand-to-hand or move locations rather quickly, their uniforms may not be the best for that.

Asta from Black Clover is an orphan-turned-hero. Asta was raised in a church, but as he got older, he left the church in hopes of becoming the Elden Lord. Asta is the wielder of the five-leaf clover grimoire and is a third-class magic knight.

Asta's iconic uniform consists of a simple set of black pants and a half-shirt as well as a black over-the-shoulder cloak. Asta also rocks a black headband with red and gold markings as well as brown thigh-high boots. When fans see this kind of outfit, they can immediately tell what kind of world Black Clover is going to be about.

The last surviving Belmont, Trevor from Castelvania, has a unique style to him. In the first season, Trevor hides beneath a fur cloak, but as the seasons move forward, he loses the cloak completely to show his full attire. While Trevor's gear doesn't seem to be too strong, it does allow him to move more freely.

With a job as a monster hunter, being able to get the upper hand on the enemy and dodge attacks is a necessity. Trevor's Morningstar whip is also a useful tool for both humans and monsters, being able to incapacitate one while destroying the other.

Deku from My Hero Academia is one of the few anime characters with an official title of hero. While Deku's first-ever hero costume was kind of ridiculous and goofy-looking, it evolved into an iconic hero uniform thanks to the support team.

Deku's hero uniform can withstand One For All's power. However, aside from that, the costume itself doesn't add much to his quirk. Deku's hero costume is more iconic and unique than many other modern anime heroes, whereas older heroes seemed to stick to single-color kimonos or much simpler designs.

Kirito from Sword Art Online is the online savior. While in the normal world Kirito is an average school student, after being trapped in an online world, he becomes the hero to millions of players.

Kirito wears an all-black swordsman outfit and is equipped with a large black sword. Much like an online game, the more experience the player gains, the better equipment they can get. The same goes for Kirito's outfit. At first, Kirito has on a simple blue tunic and plain brown pants, but as he moves on in the game world, Kirito upgrades to the outfit fans know today.

The Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric is a more modern-looking hero. Edward is the main protagonist of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and is one of the most stylish characters, rocking a simple black military/police-style outfit and a dark almost blood-red jacket.

While Edward's uniform might not add to his abilities, like many other hero costumes, its style is more iconic than its functionality. Edward's bright red jacket helps him to stand out from the other military characters in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Edward wouldn't be nearly as iconic without his signature jacket.

They call Tengen Uzui flashy for a reason. Uzui from Demon Slayer is the sound hashira and probably the most stylish of all the characters in the series. While many of the characters' outfits hold true to Taisho-era fashion, Uzui's take on his demon slayer uniform seems to be more modern than the others.

Uzui is rocking a studded headband with two jeweled attachments as well as two gold wristlets and stylish nail polish. Uzui cares very deeply about his physical appearance; it's clear to both audiences and fellow cast members.

Erza Scarlet is the most stylish hero in Fairy Tale. Erza's outfits might seem clunky considering they're based on knight's armor from medieval England, but that's not the case when she uses her magic. Erza's magic and weapons connect to her armor, so for every different bit of magic she uses, Ezra's armor changes.

Erza's armor can change from being armor to a winged angel, to armor based on a Phoenix, and each armor has its own unique look and benefits. Erza armors are both functional and fashionable.
