Bodmin warehouse fire - truck goes up in flames | Falmouth Packet

Firefighters were called to a small fire involving an "electric sack truck" in the early hours of the morning.

The call to Bodmin Fire Station cames at 5.03am to a warehouse in Launceston Road, Bodmin. Two appliances were sent to the scene

When they arrived they found the sack truck well alight inside. They used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

Once the flames were out the truck was removed from the warehouse were the crew damped down what was left of the truck.

An update from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two appliances from Bodmin attended a call to a small fire involving an electric sack truck in a warehouse.

"The sack truck was well alight on crews arrival. Firefighters used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

"Once the fire was out, crews removed the sack truck from the warehouse where crews continued to damp down the remains."
