Firefighters tackle Dartford A2 roadside grass fire    | This Is Local London

Firefighters have tackled a roadside grass fire on the A2 near Dartford.  

The fire broke out at 12.30pm today.  

Two fire engines tackled the blaze.  

Three London bound lanes were temporarily closed as the incident was dealt with but have since reopened. 

No injuries were reported following the incident. 

The cause of the fire is unknown.  

The brigade used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. 

The fire was under control at 12.55pm.  

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We was called to reports of a grass fire on the roadside of the A2 near Dartford.  

“Two fire engines attended, and firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. 

“Three London bound lanes were temporarily closed to make the area safe but have since reopened.  

“There were no casualties and the cause is not yet known.”
