To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Crews from Thirsk and Ripon responded to reports of a horse trapped. Crews used animal rescue equipment to release the horse and safely attach lead back to nearby tree.

20:26 – Low Hall Lane, Catterick Garrison

Crews from Colburn responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to a system fault.

Crews from Thirsk and Ripon responded to reports of a large number of hay bales alight in a field. Crews used two hose reel jets, a ground monitor and hose kits to tackle the fire and move the bales away from the roadside to safely burn out with help from the farmers nearby. The cause is unknown at this time.

Crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Crews from Stokesley responded to reports of a litter bin on fire. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire with the cause being deliberate by a firework.

Crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm caused by a system fault.

Ripon crew assisted with an incident where water was leaking through electrics into the kitchen of domestic property.
