A fire at an oil refinery in northwest Indiana may not have too much of an impact on your wallet.

An electrical fire broke out at a BP facility last week on Wednesday, forcing it to stop and temporarily close.

The refinery produces about 435,000 barrels of fuels per day, which is distributed amongst Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. While the closure puts a strain on the supply, experts say a signficant increase at the pump isn’t expected.

“We certainly expect that fire to possibly cause tightening of supply in the impact region, which includes Michigan and that could lead to price fluctuations,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson for the AAA Auto Club Group. “It was not a full disruption. It was a partial disruption. We’re probably looking at, you know, a temporary fluctuation in prices.”

BP says they’re working around the clock to re-open, and expect to be running in the coming days.
