The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the most popular cars in the Indian market. Currently, there is up to 4 years of waiting period for the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 in Japan. The 2022 version comes with a new exterior design, an updated powertrain, and an extensive feature list. The flagship SUV is based on the GA-F platform which is a derivative of the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It will be around 200 kg lighter than the current iteration of the SUV. The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 oil burner that produces 403 hp and 650 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. For transmission, the company has added a 10-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that enables a quick 0-100 kmph of just 6.7 secs. In India, the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 might come with a different powertrain. The premium midsize SUV features an extremely comfortable cabin with premium features. It will come with features like powered seat adjustment, multi-zone climate control, a new touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVMs, steering-mounted controls, etc.

In terms of specifications, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with two petrol hybrid engines – 1.5-litre mild hybrid and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid (petrol). You can choose from a 2WD or an AWD setup for off-roading capabilities. On the outside, the Toyota Hyryder comes with prominent wheel arches, rugged skid plates, a trapezoidal lower grille, crystal acrylic upper grille with chrome garnish, LED Project headlamps, twin LED DRLs, LED taillamps, and dynamic 17-inch alloy wheels.

It comes in E, S, G, and V trims. The 2022 Toyota Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that produces 90PS and 113Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. It is paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT options. You will also get automatic idle-start/stop. The company plans to launch a CNG iteration soon, following the launch of the Baleno CNG. The new 2022 Toyota Glanza has priced at Rs 6.39 lakh to Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Toyota Glanza features an aggressive look with a Camry-inspired grille and tweaked LED projector headlights. It comes with a black and beige interior shade. Additionally, the premium hatchback comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, new L-shaped LED taillights, a head-up display, repositioned AC vents with a new climate control panel, a flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, connected car technology, Alexa home device support, and rear AC vents. The next-gen Toyota Innova will come with a strong hybrid powertrain. The 2.0L strong petrol-hybrid engine is likely to use the localiser version of the new THS II (Toyota Hybrid System II). The twin-motor setup offers a high ‘step-off’ torque output and better efficiency. There might not be any variant with a diesel powertrain. The Toyota Innova Hycross will be based on the monocoque TNGA-C (Toyota New Global Architecture-C) platform or GA-C (Global Architecture) platform. It will have a wheelbase of around 2850 mm. Additionally, the Toyota Innova Hycross is said to come with a front-wheel-drive setup, a new dashboard layout, and a new suspension setup that will make the Innova a lot more comfortable than before.

Toyota is also planning to launch a newly rebranded version of the Maruti Ciaz in the Indian market. It is expected to come with a spacious cabin and a smart exterior design. The Toyota Belta is also expected to be powered by a 1.5L petrol engine. For transmission, it will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. The upcoming car is expected to cost Rs 10-12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant. It will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki CIaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, VW Virtus, and the Skoda Slavia.
