Van and bushes on fire in Tuckton Road, Bournemouth | Bournemouth Echo

EMERGENCY crews are tackling a fire involving a van and nearby bushes in Bournemouth.

A white van is on fire as well as bushes in Tuckton Road, Bournemouth, for which two fire engines are on scene battling the flames.

Crews from Christchurch and Springbourne stations are in attendance and tackled the blaze using two hose reel jets.

Several residents have been seen closely watching the fire be extinguished, however it is understood they have been told to stand back by officers.

A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1.53pm this afternoon about a van fire on Tuckton Road, Bournemouth. Crews from Christchurch and Springbourne are currently in attendance – the van was well alight with the fire spreading to the bushes outside a property.

“Firefighters extinguished the fire using hose reel jets and are currently checking for hotspots – the stop hasn’t yet come through.”
