Crew from York assisted some carers with a female who was trapped in a broken down hoist. Crew power used to lift elderly female from hoist to a chair.

Crew from Northallerton and Stokesley responded to reports of a car on fire on the A19. This was a false alarm caused by oil leaking on to the hot engine giving off smoke. Crew cooled the engine using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Thirsk responded to reports of smoke coming from the roof of a property. This was a false alarm caused by smoke coming from a chimney attached to the boiler.

Crews from York and Huntington responded to reports of a garage on fire. This was a false alarm caused by controlled burning that was out on arrival of crews.

An Officer was mobilised after a metal detectorist discovered an unexploded grenade in a field. He stood by with other emergency services whilst the Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion.

During the day crews from York, Scarborough and Knaresborough attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
