Crews from York and Huntington attended a fire to standing corn measuring 50 x 10 metres. Crew extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and beaters.

Crew from Acomb responded to reports of a garden fence on fire. This was caused by a discarded cigarette. Crew extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Boroughbridge responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival this was found to be a fire that origionated in the kitchen when a bag of washing was left on a hob. Crew gained entry using a door breaker and rescued 3 dogs from in the property. Crew extinguished the fire using 2  breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a fire to grassland and some trees. On arrival they discovered an area approx 30 square metres in size on fire. They extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and a water hydrant for supply.

Crew from Harrogate responded to an area of 5 x 5 metres of vegetation on fire. They extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Stokesley and Coulby Newham Attended a  number of outbuilding on fire at a farm. Crew extinguished using 2 hose reel jets before removing roof tiles to access the eaves of adjoining buildings. Crew dampened down and hotspotted.

Crew from Danby and Yarm attended a fire to a straw baler. This had spread to a telegraph pole. Crew extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Northallerton attended a muck heap on fire. This had ignited after fire spread from an adjoining farm that crews were already in attendance at. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish and drench the manure heap.

Crews from York and Huntington responded to reports of a field on fire. Crew found an area measuring approx 40 x 60 metres of scrubland alight. They extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and beaters.

Crew from Selby responded to reports of some grassland on fire. This was out on arrival of crew. They dampened down surrounding area.

Crew from Acomb assisted ambulance crew to lift a patient who had fallen 10ft down an embankment. Scoop stretcher and crew power used.

Crew from Northallerton atttended a large pile of rubbish smouldering in a field. They drenched it in water using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Acomb attended a fire to a grass embankment. There were 4 seats of fire believed to have been started deliberately by children. Crew extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a fire at the rear of a restaurant. On arrival crew located a tyre that had been deliberately ignited. They extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Crews from York and Huntington responded to reports of a fire at the industrial site. This was a false alarm caused by a controlled burn.

Crew from Whitby attended reports of a fire in an allotment. They found a compost heap measuring 3 x 1 metres alight. 1 hose reel jet used to extinguish.

Crew from York attended reports of a tree on fire. They located a tree trunk well alight. Crew extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and advised farmer to fell the tree.

During the night crews from Danby, Harrogate, Whitby and Scarborough have attended automatic fire alarm activation’s. These all resulted in false alarms.
