To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from Tadcaster responded to a sofa on fire in a woodland area, crews used a knapsack sprayer to extinguish sofa and surrounding bushes.

Huntington crews attended a vehicle fire in an open field. Crews extinguished using 1 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish, and left the incident with the Police.

Ripon crews responded to a clothing recycling bin on fire. Crews used hydraulic spreaders, a reciprocation saw and grinder to open the bin, and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Thirsk crews responded to calls of re-ignition of bales from a previous incident. this was a false alarm and no Fire Service action was taken.

Crews from York responded to reports of a flat on fire. This resulted in a malicious call, no fire was at the property.

Crews from Bedale, Skipton, Ripon, York, Scarborough, Thirsk, Richmond and Acomb responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These were all false alarms.
