To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred. 

Crew attended to assist with rescuing a kitten with its head trapped. Crew used small tools on the piece of furniture, safely releasing the cat and leaving it in the hands of it’s owner.

Crew assisted carer to lift patient in a property. Crew power used. Incident left in hands of carer.

Crew attended a property after a report of a smell of smoke. Crew identified a smell of burning from a wheelchair charger. No fire involved. Advice given.

Time: 10:30       Location: Heslington Road, York

York crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

York crew attended to assist paramedics in gaining entry to a property. Small tools used.

Northallerton crew attended a residential property to assist paramedics with the lifting of a patient. Crew power used to lift from property to awaiting Ambulance stretcher outside. Incident then left with paramedics.

Knaresborough used one hose reel jet to extinguish a vehicle fire. Crew then used a thermal image camera to monitor any residual heat. Vehicle then left with owner.

Time: 14:29       Location:  Eastfield area, Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

Time: 14:58       Location: Humberton, nr Boroughbridge

Boroughbridge and Ripon crews attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. Driver out of the vehicle on arrival of Fire and Rescue crews. Crews made vehicle and area safe, then left incident in hands of Police.

Leyburn crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival, crew found this to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.
